I decided to volunteer the first day I was at the Barter Faire, before anyone was being let in, as they had realized that none of the porti-potties had the blue sanitary liquid in them. My friend Ricky and I had been assigned to the volunteer bus in order to secure volunteers to fill positions needed. In the mix of the porti-potty issues, as well as the general chaos of any (dis)organized event, and due to the fact that the volunteer bus was placed between most of the impatient waiting fair-goers and the entrance, we had a lot of traffic. I was thankful for this abundance of potential traders and immediately secured a lighter from a kid named Willie.
